The story

The Mill Girls' star is a collective tribute to the thousands of women who worked Paisley's thread mills — the industry that built the town and gave the world Paisley pattern textiles.

It sits on Bridge Street, overlooking the old mill, with Paisley Abbey and Paisley Town Hall in the background.

Paisley's Buddie Walk of Fame is a pavement trail of engraved stones — Hollywood Boulevard-style — honouring ten sons and daughters of the town as voted for by the people of Paisley. Free to visit, on public streets, day or night.
